10 Reasons to track all 4 phases of your cycle šŸ”

It is not enough anymore just to track your period. Ā

woman holding calendar

We are woman and that means that we go through:

  • puberty

  • reproductive years

  • peri menopauseĀ (starting as early as 35 yrs old)

  • menopause Ā (avg age 51 years old)

Women of reproductive ages are probably already focused on their ovulation phase but if you are navigating into peri menopause or are in menopause it is still crucial for you to know your cycle.

Now that we are living longer, we spend a good percentage of that time in peri and post menopause, so we need to know our bodies and support them so that they in turn support us in successful reproduction when desired, and in living a long, strong and healthy life.

Estrogen, progesterone and testosterone are our fluctuating sex hormones but they are not JUST sex hormones they are also our life hormones. Ā We need to support and sustain All of these hormones for as long as possible to their highest level in order to feel our best at all times in our life not just during our reproductive years. Ā

We need estrogen to promote a healthy weight, as well as healthy heart, bones, muscles, and skin. Ā

We need progesterone to keep us calm, reduce anxiety, improve sleep and it she will help us sail through peri menopause and menopause. Ā

We need testosterone to help us maintain our strength, emotionally and physically.

These are just some of your hormones. WE also have cortisol, insulin and thyroid hormones

that all need to be managed effectively.

Ā

The best way to know our body is to know our cycle from early in puberty however, we can get in sync with our cycle anytime just by being aware of how we feel.

(Symptom tracker in our app handouts).

Then, once we know our cycle we can sync up with her and support her.

This is the typical 28 day cycle of a woman. YES, it is suppose to look like a roller coaster because our hormones surge and fall throughout the month and when we understand where we are everyday in our cycle we can lean into the rise and drops of the ride.
